Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a concrete slab cost in Texas?+

Concrete slab pricing in Texas typically runs from $6 to $12+ per square foot installed, depending on slab thickness, rebar schedule, site prep, and access. Hill Country sites with caliche or rock, and Gulf Coast sites needing fill or moisture barriers, sit on the higher end. Every quote is free and itemized — no surprises.

Do you provide free estimates?+

Yes — every quote is free and includes a pre-site visit. We measure the pad, check grading and access, and give you written, itemized pricing within one business day.

How long does it take to pour a slab?+

From quote acceptance, most residential and light-commercial slabs schedule within 2–4 weeks. Forming, rebar and the monolithic pour are typically completed in 1–3 days on site; concrete reaches initial strength in 24–48 hours and full design strength at about 28 days.

When can I start building on a fresh slab?+

You can typically frame walls in 3–7 days. Heavy loads — steel buildings, equipment, vehicles — should wait until the slab has cured to design strength (about 28 days). We'll advise the exact timing based on mix design and weather.

Do you handle Hill Country caliche, limestone and rocky sites?+

Yes. Our crews are set up for caliche, limestone shelf rock and rocky Hill Country lots with the right excavation, rock-saw work, fill and compaction. We engineer the base so the slab stays flat and crack-resistant over the life of the build.

Do you build on Texas expansive clay and Gulf Coast soils?+

Yes — we pour across Gulf Coast clay, North Texas blackland clay and South Texas expansive soils. We adjust slab thickness, rebar schedule and footings for soil movement, and engineer drainage so water doesn't sit against the foundation.

What PSI mix do you pour?+

All slabs are rated 3,000+ PSI standard, reinforced with #3 / #4 rebar at proper on-center spacing. Higher-strength mixes, fiber additives and post-tension options are available for engineered foundations and heavy industrial pads.

What areas do you serve?+

We serve the entire Texas Hill Country and major metros — Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Leander, Georgetown, San Antonio, New Braunfels, Houston, Katy, The Woodlands, Dallas, Plano, Frisco and rural South Texas (Cuero, Victoria, Yoakum, Goliad). Our standard service radius is 100+ miles from Kerrville; longer trips are quoted with travel.

Do you charge travel fees outside the Hill Country?+

Inside our standard 100-mile service radius there's no extra travel charge. For Houston, DFW and far South Texas projects we quote travel and mobilization transparently in the written estimate — no hidden fees.

Are you licensed and insured?+

Yes — fully licensed and insured. Proof of insurance, references and prior pour photos available on request before you sign.
